Basic Level Module

At the end of Basic Level Training session, participants would be able to:

  • Correctly identify the types of telecommunication systems installed on fixed and floating systems at offshore locations.
  • Describe accurately the high-level functions of telecommunication systems installed on fixed and floating systems at offshore locations and,
  • Identify accurately the steps and understand the high-level concepts in performing engineering and design of telecommunication systems installed on fixed and floating systems at offshore locations.

E&D of Internal Communication Systems (ICS) Part 1 - PAGA

Foundation Level Module

At the end of ICS Part 1 Foundation Level Module Training session, participants would be able to:

  • Correctly specify the rules, regulations and industrial standards associated with the procurement and implementation of PAGA System for Oil & Gas installation particularly fixed and floating systems at offshore locations,
  • Identify and describe accurately the engineering and design steps, process and methods in performing TE&D for PAGA systems. This includes correct field devices placements, correct cable routing design concepts and specifying accurately system equipment, power supply and interface requirements.
  • Perform correctly technical bid evaluation and technology selection of PAGA System for O&G projects.
  • Identify correctly the scope and requirements of PAGA Sound coverage study including the correct criteria to be used in the study and the use of correct SW tools, ensuring effective sound coverage of the PAGA systems is achieved on Oil & Gas installation particularly on fixed and floating systems at offshore locations and,
  • Practice correctly the engineering and design steps and methods in performing engineering and design of PAGA System for Oil & Gas installation particularly on fixed and floating systems at offshore locations.

E&D of Internal Communication Systems (ICS) Part 2 - Telephone, IT&OT and E&W Systems

Foundation Level Module

At the end of ICS Part 2 Foundation Level Module Training session, participants would be able to:

  • Apply and incorporate accurately elements of Cyber Security, IoT, Cloud computing, system integration, 5G and AI elements in TE&D deliverables.
  • Specify correctly the rules, regulations, cyber security requirements and industrial standards associated with the procurement and implementation of Telephone, IT&OT and E&W Systems for Oil & Gas installation particularly fixed and floating systems at offshore locations. This includes correctly specify the regulatory requirements for networking equipment for country of operations,
  • Identify and describe accurately the engineering and design steps, process and methods in performing TE&D for each of three systems mentioned above. This includes correct field devices placements, correct cable selections and specifying accurately system equipment, power supply and interface requirements.
  • Perform correctly the techniques in technical bid evaluation and technology selection of Telephone, IT&OT and E&W Systems package for O&G projects.
  • Identify correctly the scope and requirements of Wireless coverage study including the correct criteria to be used in the study and the use of correct SW tools, ensuring effective network coverage of the respective networks is achieved on Oil & Gas installation particularly on fixed and floating systems at offshore locations and,
  • Practice correctly the engineering and design steps and methods in performing engineering and design of Telephone, IT&OT and E&W Systems for Oil & Gas installations particularly on fixed and floating systems at offshore locations.

E&D of Radio Communication Systems (RCS)

Foundation Level Module

At the end of RCS Foundation Level Module Training session, participants would be able to:

  • Acquire latest and accurate radio communication system description and functionalities to assist participants in performing TE&D tasks in Oil & Gas projects,
  • Identify and develop a complete and technically acceptable TE&D deliverables and their associated activities in Oil & Gas projects,
  • Specify correctly the rules, regulations, cyber security requirements and industrial standards associated with the procurement and implementation of RCS equipment for Oil & Gas installation particularly fixed and floating systems at offshore locations. This includes correctly specify the regulatory requirements for networking equipment for country of operations,
  • Identify and describe accurately the engineering and design steps, process and methods in performing TE&D in Oil & Gas projects, for each type of radio communication system mentioned above. This includes correct field devices placements, antenna separation, correct cable selections and specifying accurately system equipment, power supply and interface requirements.
  • Perform correctly the techniques in technical bid evaluation and technology selection of RCS equipment and their procurement for Oil & Gas projects,
  • Identify correctly the scope and requirements of Radio coverage study including the correct criteria to be used in the study and the use of correct SW tools, ensuring effective coverage of the required radio is achieved on Oil & Gas installation particularly on fixed and floating systems at offshore locations and,
  • Practice correctly the engineering and design steps and methods in performing engineering and design of RCS for Oil & Gas installations particularly on fixed and floating systems at offshore locations.

E&D of External Long Range Communication Systems (LRC)

Foundation Level Module

At the end of LRC Foundation Level Module Training session, participants would be able to:

  • Acquire latest and accurate LRC communication system description and functionalities to assist participants in performing TE&D tasks in Oil & Gas projects,
  • Identify and develop a complete and technically acceptable TE&D deliverables and their associated activities in Oil & Gas projects,
  • Specify correctly the rules, regulations, cyber security requirements and industrial standards associated with the procurement and implementation of LRC system equipment for Oil & Gas installation particularly fixed and floating systems at offshore locations.
  • Identify and describe accurately the engineering and design steps, process and methods in performing TE&D in Oil & Gas projects for satellite communication system, subsea fiber optic system and other LRC systems mentioned above. This includes correct field devices placements, antenna separation, correct cable selections and specifying accurately system equipment, power supply and interface requirements.
  • Perform correctly the techniques in technical bid evaluation and technology selection of LRC system equipment and their procurement for Oil & Gas projects,
  • Determine correctly the basis and acceptable criteria when performing DMR pathloss calculation and satellite look up angle calculation including the use of SW tools,
  • Practice correctly the engineering and design steps and methods in performing engineering and design of LRC for Oil & Gas installations particularly on fixed and floating systems at offshore locations.

(MSS)

Foundation Level Module

At the end of MSS Foundation Level Module Training session, participants would be able to:

  • Acquire latest and accurate MSS description and functionalities to assist participants in performing TE&D tasks in Oil & Gas projects,
  • Identify and develop a complete and technically acceptable TE&D deliverables and their associated activities in Oil & Gas projects,
  • Specify correctly the rules, regulations, cyber security requirements and industrial standards associated with the procurement and implementation of MSS system equipment for Oil & Gas installation at offshore locations.
  • Identify and describe accurately the engineering and design steps, process and methods in performing TE&D in Oil & Gas projects for Marine Safety Systems. This includes correct field devices placement, correct cable selections and specifying accurately system equipment, power supply and interface requirements.
  • Perform correctly the techniques in technical bid evaluation and technology selection of MSS system equipment and their procurement for Oil & Gas projects, and
  • Practice correctly the engineering and design steps and methods in performing engineering and design of MSS for Oil & Gas installations.

This includes correct field sensors placement, correct cable selections and specifying accurately system equipment, power supply and interface requirements.
  • Perform correctly the techniques in technical bid evaluation and technology selection of 3MS system equipment and their procurement for Oil & Gas projects, and
  • Practice correctly the engineering and design steps and methods in performing engineering and design of 3MS for Oil & Gas installations.

Hazardous Areas Protection Training

Foundation Level Module

At the end of HAPT4EIT Module Training session, participants would be able to:

  • Acquire applicable technical knowledge on the latest international standards on hazardous areas protection (HAP) for Oil & Gas projects,
  • Identify, describe and apply correctly applicable HAP standards in performing of E&D of E,I & T tasks and Package engineering activities in Oil & Gas projects,
  • Acquire the awareness of the roles and responsibilities of personnel involve in hazardous areas protection activities at various phases of a typical O&G project.
  • Perform correctly the procurement techniques related to HAP in Pre-PO technical bid evaluation and post-PO vendor document review until construction phase of for Oil & Gas projects, and
  • Practice correctly the engineering and design steps and methods related HAP for Oil & Gas installations.

Cyber Security Training for Oil & Gas and Green Energies Industries – Securing IT & OT Infrastructure

Cyber Security Module

Course Content

At the end of training session, participants would be able to:

  • Acquire correct understanding of Cyber Security terminology, its fundamentals and its relationships with IT & OT infrastructure.
  • Identify and apply accurately elements of Cyber Security standards to secure IT & OT infrastructure.
  • Understand and incorporate correctly elements of Cyber Security standards and best practices in Oil & Gas and Green Energies projects.
  • Implement accurately with confidence applicable Cyber Security standards and practices when securing IT & OT infrastructure during the operation phase.
  • Acquire understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Specify correctly cyber security requirements and industrial standards associated with the procurement and implementation of Cyber Security infrastructure.
  • Practice correctly in implementing cyber security requirements in project and operation phases.
